'Chaughadia-muhurata' table for Delhi

'Chaughadia-muhurata' table for Delhi, India

Standard Time Zone: 05:30:00 hrs (ahead of GMT)

Geographic coordinates: 028N40'00; 077E13'00 _____________________________________________________________________
Vedic Jyotish system offers a method which divides 24 hrs of a day in 16 time segments of approximately one and a half hours each. Each of these time segment is called ‘Chaughadiya’. All important or good works, or travel should be preferably commenced/initiated in a good ‘Chaughadiya’ only. Vedic scriptures say that if a work is started in good ‘Chaughadiya’ and other Muhurta determining factors (such as ‘Tithi’, ‘Yoga’, Nakshatra’ etc.) are also favourable, it is almost certain to get success in that work or effort. The ‘Amrit’, ‘Shubh’ and ‘Laabh’ are Good (favourable) Chaughadiyas. The 'Chara' is a Medium Chaughadiya. The ‘Udwega’, ‘Roga’ and ‘Kaala’ are Bad (unfavourable) Chaughadiyas.
[Note: Avoid 'Rahu-kaal' timings, shown with the '#' mark, even if, otherwise, it is a good Chaughadiya. In such a case, this report has also marked the concerned timings as , even if it is 'Amrita' or 'Shubha' Chaughadiya.]
To be on safer side, you should always keep margins of 5 minutes (+/- 5 mts) in Muhurta start and end timings and should consider it as a Muhurta buffer zone. Junction points or 'Sandhi-kaal' of any astrological event (be it a 'Tithi' change, 'Nakshatra' change or 'Muhurta' change) has always been advised to be avoided.
In some regions of the globe, watches are moved ahead by one hour during summer months. It is called 'Day-Light Saving Time' (DST). If 'DST' is being observed at present by the country/ state of your current location, then, you must not forget to specify it through push-button marked 'DST' while preparing this report. The specified 'DST' would be shown adjacent to the concerned date in [brackets] in following tables and gets adjusted in all shown timings (like, Sunrise, Sunset, Muhurta start and end timings) of the concerned date. We may also call it 'Applicable Watch Time' (AWT), i.e., the time which will be shown by your watches after adjusting the DayLight Saving Time being observed in your country/ state.
